VIC: Victorian Nationals will meet with Costello over GST

National Party leaders around Australia are planning to meet with the federal government
to discuss GST concerns.

Victorian National Party leader PETER RYAN says he and his interstate counterparts
will seek a meeting with the government over the implementation of the GST.

Mr RYAN says they want to have a good look at how the GST will affect regional Australia,
particularly petrol prices.

He says country people already pay too much for their petrol, and an increase as a
result of the GST won't be tolerated.

Mr RYAN is currently touring country Victoria.
