NEW YORK -- Eight Lucchese crime family members were accused of seven mob-sanctioned murders, a botched hit on a mob informant, conspiracy and tax evasion in a federal racketeering indictment released Wednesday.
The superseding indictment cited five family capos and three soldiers for the murders, which occurred in May 1989 and July 1992.
